| Dear
Guests,
For a long, long time Kamchatka has been a country of mystery not
only for people from overseas, but for Russian citizens as well.
Here in Kamchatka the day is dawning, but it is still yesterday in Moscow,
9 time zones west. In earlier centuries, it took travelers starting in
Moscow months and even years to reach Kamchatka. The journey became shorter
by plane, but this did not make access to Kamchatka easier because for
more than seven decades the Soviet authorities declared it a “no-go”
zone not only for foreigners but also for Russian non-residents of Kamchatka.
Now, at last, you have a chance to visit our
beautiful peninsula – a place with miles of wilderness completely free
of human inhabitants. This makes it a living Eden for numerous animals,
and most of all for Kamchatka's huge brown bears.
Come and see the country that has been a challenge and source of wonder
to generations
of adventurers. Very few people
can boast that they have watched giant wild bears from the window of a
comfortable lodge. We make sure that our guests see the real Kamchatka.
It is far better to have seen it once than to have heard of it a thousand
times.
Sincerely yours,
Sergey
