Tour season: June to August
This spectacular trip offers you amazing
wildlife viewing opportunities. It starts with a scenic helicopter flight
to Verkhnegolyginsky tourist area over innumerable mountains and the
peaks of Vilyuchinsky,
Gorely, Mutnovsky, and Opala volcanoes that takes you to the famous
Ksudach volcano caldera with its picturesque lakes – Klyuchevoe and
Shtyubelya - and hot springs.
After a lunch on the warm beach of Klyuchevoye
Lake you will tour the caldera during 2 or 3 hours. Then
you will fly to Central Base where you will be accommodated in double
rooms in a comfortable lodge.
In the course of a short, relaxed hike
(up to 5 km) around the Central Base area and while boating around Golyginskoe
Lake you will have the opportunity to observe brown bears and spawning
salmon.
On the way
back to Petropavlovsk a 2-3 hour stop will
be made at thermal springs of Khodutka Volcano – a nice spot to have
a rest and bathe in a hot lake. You will then get acquainted with the
history of Kamchatka and its peoples during a tour of the Regional museum.
A visit to the Paratunka hot spring area offers one more chance to relax
and enjoy the natural benefits of Kamchatka.
